My name is Caleb Lara and I’m from San Diego, CA.

theBOX originated at Tuck Business School at Dartmouth College in 2014 and I bought it in 2022.

I have Mexican roots, lived in Mexico and have been inspired by it’s cuisine and culture from a young age.

I graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in 2006 and learned from great chefs at The Ritz Carlton in Naples, FL as well as many other kitchens; including Le Bernardin in New York City.

I’m very appreciative of our amazing customers, team and dear friends that have supported us along the way.
